This historic hotel is located right in the heart of downtown Chicago, one of the premiere shopping & dining locations in the country. The Intercontinental Hotel wanted to bring the excitement of Michigan Avenue into their beautiful lobby via a 1×8 full HD video wall.

This historic hotel is located right in the heart of downtown Chicago, one of the premiere shopping & dining locations in the country. The Intercontinental Hotel wanted to bring the excitement of Michigan Avenue into their beautiful lobby via a 1×8 full HD video wall.
42 Audio Visual worked with their partners to install full 1080p HD pan/tilt cameras on world famous Michigan Avenue and on the roof of the hotel that stream LIVE feeds of the Chicago skyline right into the lobby. We programmed the camera controller with camera angle presets so that with a touch of a button the hotel staff can get the perfect shot. Built on a Q-SYS control platform, the entire system was configured to be easily controlled with an iPad, enabling simple control for any user.
The installation won “Editor’s Pick, Best of 2012 Front Desk” from Illinois Meetings Events Magazine. Our video wall was even featured on Forbes.com!
